About us

Arisa S.A. is a company exclusively dedicated to the design and manufacture of mechanical presses and their accessories, for working with sheet metal, in accordance with the customers?specifications.

The firm was created in 1940, for the construction of machinery for making metal cans.

In 1947 it focussed its activities solely on the manufacture of eccentric mechanical presses.

In 1956 it produced the first automatic presses with straightside and double point for progressive dies, which have represented the major part of our production for many years now.

In 1988, the application of Numerical Control (NC) technology, allowed us to offer fast die change and totally automated die stamping centres.

In 1990 the first electronic transfer machines came onto the market, which were later improved with a second generation of digital electronic transfers with monitoring controls, which we launched in 1997.

Since 1997 a series of presses have been available featuring different types of articulated lever link-drive transmission systems, adaptable to the kinds of work they are to be used for.

Ever since it was set up Arisa has offered mechanical presses and their main accessories, using their own technology. Their first patents on clutch-brake mechanisms and change of stroke were registered in 1957.

At present, the Arisa R&;;D team includes specialists in mechanics, hydraulics and automation in general.

They have worked closely with the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Engineering School of the University of La Rioja for the carrying out of Kinematics Synthesis and Dynamic Synthesis calculations for the press command mechanisms. In automation projects they regularly collaborate with the Bosch-Siemens team, in both the electronic and hydraulic areas.

The projects developed by this R&;;D team have been incorporated into machines manufactured by Arisa, introducing several important technical and functional improvements. Among the innovations of the last few years we would highlight:

- Multi-purpose presses for working with both line feed and pre-cut blanks.
- Kinematics link-drive for stamping jobs.
- Kinematics link-drive for blanking and stamping dies with variable stroke.
- Tri-axial digital electronic systems for transfer of pieces.
- Equipment for manufacturing and feeding cut sheets.
- Intelligent hydraulic cushions.
