June 11,2011, Wuxi Touping the world-class 35.5 thousand tons Screw Press putted into production. More than a hundred Chinese and Foreign engineers of aviation, energy and forging witness this historic moment. Since then, WTB Officially enters the aviation and nuclear power and other high-end forging fields. And it’s a key step for WTB to become a global supplier of aerospace parts and leaves.

Jin Zhang, Secretary-General of Confederation of Chinese Metalforming Industry made a speech at the launching ceremony. He said China has been a big country in forging and pressing, but not a powerful nation. If we want to be a powerful nation, it is necessary to introduce the advanced foreign equipment, but it’s just a measure. We should absorb and re-innovate. And developing the equipment with China-only brand is our aim.

Jin Zhang said the Screw Press imported by WTB is part of the world most technologically advanced and the largest tonnage in the same equipment. With good hardware, coupled with continuous improvement in process technology and innovation, I believe that WTB will be able to become first-class, internationally renowned supplier of high grade forging production.

The new press’s maximum power 355MN that can form metal products in brief contact with the workpiece. And it’s process combines both of the forging hammer and hydraulic press’s advantages and is the ideal choice for WTB to process electric blades and aircraft, aero-engine high-performance special steels and titanium and nickel-based super alloy products.

Compared with the traditional screw press, using the new clutch the press forming not only increases significantly in power, but also can reduce about 87% of energy consumption, is truly efficient energy equipment. Compared with the press and hammer it can produce better metallurgical quality, more uniform in organizational performance and more accurate large size of forgings. SPK22400 clutch screw press accompanied with 3150 tons free forging press, 8 meters of the Gas Rotary Hearth Furnace and multiple large-capacity furnaces, made WTB forging greatly enhance in the production capacity and production services expand. It can meet the growing demand in the field of nuclear power, gas turbine, aerospace, military and customer’s unique needs.
