June 29, 2011. The world first and biggest 18500 T Free Forging Press and 750T•m Forging Manipulator put into production successfully.

In the morning, CITIC Heavy Industries Co., Ltd opened a ceremony for production in heavy forging industry. And the company’s leader Qinxin Ren, Fengqi Xu, Jisheng Wang, Chun He, Hailun Yuan, Chunmin Wang, Hui Liang, Qiping Sun and 150 workers attended the ceremony.

In the ceremony, the president Qinxin Ren thanked the workers. He required the casting and forging factory who use and manage the machine to change the mind and improve innovative capabilities.

9:56 am, as the president Qinxin Ren push handle, the moving beam of the machine rose slowly, with the manipulator working. About ten minutes later, 160 tons steel ingot was held to the table.

10:18 am, the president Qinxin Ren push handle, the machine forced quickly, the number on the display soaring, 5000, 8000, 10000, 12000, 15000, 16800 tons, in less than 2 minutes, the machine complete the upsetting. Then the machine worked with the manipulator to stretch the 160 tons steel ingot.

In the CCTV interview, the president said that 18500 T Free Forging Press and 750T•m Forging Manipulator put into production. Its success means our company completed a world-class high-end heavy equipment manufacturing process system, and marks that China''s large-scale forging equipment and large forgings manufacturing capacity reach the world''s advanced level.

It is understood that since the machine pre-produced in March this year, just in four months, it has completed a total of 48 steel ingots which are 100 to 300 tons and realized the shape and size control of the shaft, panels, cake, rings and other products. The forging quality fully met process requirement, reached the ability to produce large forgings.
