In mid April 2010, two tube plates with 290T for nuclear power were forged successfully in China National Erzhong Group Co. It marks that the rotary worktable of the largest water press was commissioned successfully.
The rotary worktable of the largest water press is a specialized tooling used for producing pie forgings. The forgings were pressed uniformly through revolving worktable to improve inner and external quality. The former worktable has a lot of defects like small diameter, low bearing capability, low controllability etc which influence quality of forging. Through developing again and again, new worktable was designed and used to ensure quality of tube plate for AP1000 nuclear power.
New worktable with the diameter of 6000mm can bear 200 ton load and adopts gear transmission system on electric engine. The worktable possesses many advantages like stable revolution, compact structure, simple operation etc. All parameters of design of rotary worktable meet technical requirements fully through testing tube plate. Successful using of rotary worktable can improve quality of forgings remarkably and create favorable conditions for mass production of forgings like tube plate for nuclear power.
