Schuler Group at the Euroblech 2008 – Welcome to the World of Metalforming
At the Euroblech 2008 fair in Hanover, Germany, from October 21 to 25, 2008, the Schuler Group will be presenting its full range of products and services. Under the motto ‘The Whole World of Metalforming’‚ Schuler will inform visitors about the latest developments in equipment and processes. In addition to the latest technical trends, a main focus of the company’s fair stand will also be on services. “Future forming systems will need to fulfill a wide range of requirements. With its extensive product spectrum, the Schuler Group develops and realizes the required system solutions for the sector,” explains Joachim Beyer, a member of the Schuler AG Board of Management and responsible for the Large Presses/Automotive division in the Group’s Forming Systems segment. “Topics such as enhanced machine performance and production reliability are currently high on the agenda. This is also true of our exhibits at the Euroblech 2008 in Hanover,” continued Joachim Beyer. Comprehensive information available at six topic stationsEuroblech visitors can receive information about the latest developments at six ‘topic stations’. The Schuler Group will be displaying its expertise in conceiving integrated system solutions covering the entire production chain – from coil to the finished product.Forming systems for the supply industryIn the field of forming systems for the supply industry, the focus will be on information and trends concerning blanking and forming presses. Highlights will include in-use reports about the enhanced performance and energy consumption of servo presses and newly developed knuckle-joint presses with greater slide strokes. These will be joined by blanking cells and presses with eccentric or link drives. Schuler will also be informing visitors about hydraulic press systems, press lines and tryout presses. In addition, the company will be unveiling a new roll feed generation which can meet the growing needs of flexible press shops.System solutions for car manufacturersAuto industry customers will feel particularly at home with our mechanical high-speed press lines. The main focus here will be on servo press technology, automation solutions for press lines based on crossbar technology, and front- and end-of-line systems.Hot stampingSchuler’s ‘Hot Stamping Center of Excellence’ will inform users about integrated presses, as well as die and automation solutions. The hot stamping process guarantees high strength and reduced weight in the manufacturing of safety parts.High-speedCustomers in the energy technology sector and manufacturers of hybrid drives will be particularly interested in Schuler’s high-speed presses/blanking technology. In addition to notching presses/notching machines and the SAL range of high-speed presses, Schuler will be presenting the patented Segment Master System. The system is specially designed for the production of laminations used in hybrid drives.HydroformingIn the field of hydroforming, visitors can expect information on Schuler’s new compact lines, which enable the economic production of even smaller or mid-size quantities.ServiceSchuler will be devoting a special information area to the topic of ‘services’ at its fair stand. Visitors interested in services such as line modernization and optimization, consulting and support with production planning, reconstruction, used presses and enhanced performance, will have the opportunity to talk with experts from Schuler’s global service network.Four machine exhibits offer hands-on forming technologyThese include a blanking cell with a press force of 200 metric tons, a C-frame press with robot automation, a notching press and the new ‘Schuler Power Feed’ roll feed unit.Schuler Academy presents new programThe new Schuler Academy will be presenting its new seminar program at the Euroblech. The previous academy of the same name is to be merged with the Müller Weingarten Forum in 2009. Training courses are aimed primarily at employees of customers in the field of technical planning and production management, servicing and maintenance, operating and machine set-up, as well as part development.Impulse lectures at Schuler ForumThe Schuler Forum will provide plenty of ideas for interesting discussions at Schuler’s fair stand. The speakers will give product-oriented talks (or ‘impulse lectures’) on a range of current issues.Global presence: technology and service on site around the worldWith its strong trade fair presence, the Schuler Group is underlining its healthy current position and its expertise in shaping the metalforming market. The topic of globalization is high on the agenda in virtually every sector at present. As Joachim Beyer, the Schuler AG Board of Management member responsible for Forming Systems Large Presses/Automotive, explains: “Car manufacturers and their major suppliers have both established global production networks and continue to invest in new growth regions. A decisive factor for the success of this strategy is whether these companies can achieve a standard high level of quality throughout their global operations. That’s why we are exactly the right partner.” The development means that many suppliers who were previously represented only locally or regionally must now address the issue of internationalization. In order to remain successful, they must accompany their customers into new markets. “We are well prepared for this development,” stresses Joachim Beyer. “With our presence in Asia, Eastern Europe and the Americas, we have built up specific know-how in growth markets which we can use to support customers with their international expansion plans,” adds Joachim Beyer. |
