The Supervisory Board of Schuler AG appointed Dr. Markus Ernst to the Board of Management of Schuler AG as of October 1, 2007. He will be responsible for the newly created business segment Standard Presses, which will comprise the divisions Solid Forming, Automatic Blanking and Forming Presses, Minting Presses, High Speed and Knuckle-Joint Presses. Weingarten AG with responsibility for Standard Presses.
There are therefore now four members of the Schuler AG Board of Management: Juergen Tonn (CEO), Dr. Wolfgang Baur (CFO) and Joachim Beyer (business segment Forming Systems) retain their current functions.
The increase in board members will ensure both efficient management of the future company Schuler Weingarten AG and an optimal integration process. It enables us to take swift, market-oriented decisions and to retain our extremely flat hierarchical structures below Board of Management level, says CEO Juergen Tonn.
Dr. Markus Ernst - short biography
Dr. Markus Ernst, born in 1969, is Speaker of the Management Board of Schuler Pressen GmbH & Co. KG and of Schuler Guss GmbH & Co. KG. After graduating in technical business studies from the University of Stuttgart, Dr. Ernst began his career at Schuler in 1995 in the Materials Management division. He then held various positions as department manager, commercial director and managing director within the Schuler Group. Dr. Markus Ernst gained his doctor''s title from the University of Hohenheim. |
