The second-generation AFM EP pressbrake creates a decisive added value for the user in numerous ways. The hydraulic crowning ensures a constant bending angle across the full length of the bend. Thanks to the new Cybelec DNC 880S control package and an off-line programming software, the set-up and programming times are reduced. The AKAS III laser protection system, with manual height adjustment and two workpiece support arms that can be manually positioned in the horizontal plane and adjusted for height, is also new. Additionally, the price-performance ratio for the machine is ensured through well-tested features such as the 2-D display and simulation of the bending sequence, the collision display, a precision measurement system for controlling the position of the upper beam, and system monitoring.
Because the new generation partly includes the same parts as the Beyeler PR pressbrake, the spare parts inventory is simplified, the reaction times are reduced, and on-site customer service is improved.
The market launch will take place in the individual countries of Europe and North America in the second half of 2007. Interested parties can learn more from their local Bystronic subsidiary or sales partners.
