New subsidiary for the German market, TRUMPF
On July 1, 2007, TRUMPF founded an own company for its domestic market in the area of machine tools. With 250 employees and about 400 million Euro in annual sales, TRUMPF Werkzeugmaschinen Deutschland Vertrieb + Service GmbH + Co. KG is TRUMPF’s largest sales company in the world. The new TRUMPF subsidiary is responsible for sales of machine tools and services like spare parts and wearing parts or technical customer service. One of the most important reasons for the new company is that TRUMPF wants to enhance its relationship with German customers, simplify its network and shorten distances. “Moreover, the new company will be true to our principal for sales and service subsidiaries in the German market as well,” says the managing director of the new company, Frank Schädler. “We are laying the groundwork for being able to standardize a lot of processes up to a certain degree.” Frank Schädler was formerly the head of sales for machine tools in Germany. All of the employees in the new TRUMPF subsidiary for Germany previously belonged to the parent company TRUMPF Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH + Co. KG. Although the staff will remain the same, the powers are being merged for customers. |
